TURA: Teachers under the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association are planning to hold a rally in Tura on Thursday to demand from payment of their pending salaries and arrears.
The association has been demanding release of their arrears since last year and implementation of equal pay for the fourth teacher.
“We are also demanding salary payment for all the SSA Primary and Upper Primary teachers on a regular monthly basis which the government has so far not committed,” said association member Tronament D Sangma.
