Teenager drowns in WKH river

NONGSTOIN: A teenager drowned in the Wah Blei river in West Khasi Hills while fishing on Saturday. The youth, identified as Iengskhem Tynhiang (18) of Myndo village, went for fishing with his friends.
They decided to take a dip as the weather was humid. But Tynhiang was swept away by the strong current of the water. One of his friends tried to save him but could not, police said. Villagers and the police worked together to recover Iengskhem’s body.
