SHILLONG: Decks were cleared for UDP ticket aspirant from Pynursla Nehru Suting to contest the 2018 Assembly elections after the state government accepted his voluntary retirement as director of industries.
UDP sources said he has confirmed that he would contest from the party and was set to face sitting MLA Prestone Tynsong, who made it clear he would resign from Congress before the Legislative Assembly session.
