MAWKYRWAT: The Nationalist People’s Party (NPP) in Ranikor suffered a loss with the People’s Democratic Front (PDF) announcing Air Marshall Diengngan’s name in its first list of candidates for the 2018 elections.
Diengngan, NPP’s chief organiser in Ranikor, was first denied the ticket by the United Democratic Party (UDP).
Later he joined NPP with the hope of contesting the next election from this party in which he was appointed as the chief organiser.
But the move to join PDF came after NPP declared the second list of candidates on November 18 in which the ticket for Ranikor constituency went to former minister Donkupar Massar.
“I will contest the next election because the people of Ranikor wanted me to,” said Diengngan.
