Two persons sustained injuries after a vehicle that they were travelling met with an accident with a tanker truck around 3.30 pm on Tuesday in Mookyndur, West Jaintia Hills. An Alto 800 which was heading towards Jowai was hit by a tanker truck that was coming from the opposite direction leaving two occupants of the alto injured. The injured victims, identified as Wanrapmi Pyrtuh (31 years, male) and Risuk Shylla (25 years, female) were shifted to Jowai civil hospital by108 ambulance from Jowai.
In another case, a public carrier sumo met with an accident on Tuesday evening in Quinine Ri bhoi district around 3.30 pm when the sumo coming from Guwahati to Shillong skid and overturned. Three passengers were severely injured while the others sustained minor injuries. The victims, identified as Mercy Hmar (58 years, female), Rohu Mali (47 years, male) and Robihul Hussain (58 years, male). The 108 ambulance based at Nongpoh help in shifting all the injured victims to Umsning CHC where they were further referred to Shillong.On November27, an accident took place between one Tata Sumo (ML-04B-3841) and one Maruti car (ML-04B-5598) driven by Dawanmi Mulieh at Phramer, NH-44. As a result, the driver of the Maruti car sustained injuries and was admitted at Hospital.
On November25 around 11.30 am, an accident took place between one BSF mini truck (AS-11BC-9273) driven by Tapan Biswas and one Tata vehicle (NL-01K-6251) driven by Rotnesor Bora at Tongseng village in East Jaintia Hills. As a result, Biswas sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, while one Abdul Rashid sustained minor injuries and was shifted to CHC Khliehriat.
