LJP wants loan waiver for farmers

SHILLONG: The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) has urged the Agriculture Department to waive farmers’ loans in Ri Bhoi, Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills.
In a letter to the agriculture minister, Denis Tynsiar of LJP requested that the loans be waived under Kisan Credit Card or otherwise. Copies of the letter have been sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Meghalaya chief secretary.
