Winter chill hits city

SHILLONG: The chill in the air in Shillong and other parts of the state has become intense as mercury continues to dip.
The temperature in Shillong is expected to be around 17-18°C maximum to 5-6°C minimum till the next one week as per the India Meteorological Department website.
As the year comes to an end, the temperature is expected to dip further.
Reportedly, sale of warm clothes and even charcoal is also on the rise in the city with the onset of winter.
