Kharkutta bazaar blaze destroys shops

TURA: A fire in Kharkutta bazaar on Wednesday destroyed three shops.The incident happened, when a canister containing petrol caught on fire.According to locals, two motorcycle borne persons were pouring the petrol into a container outside a shop with one of them smoking when the fuel caught fire. The flames quickly spread into the shops and also damaged the two-wheeler partially.
Locals were quick to react and began dousing the flames with water to contain the blaze. Their quick reaction helped to contain the damage from spreading further. Three shops were destroyed while another store sustained partial damage.
