Tiger kills two kids in five days in Katarniaghat area

Bahraich Dec 1 (UNI) Three days after a nine-year-old girl’s body was found, a 13-year-old youth was attacked and killed by a tiger in the fields in Sujauli area of the district on Thursday, it was reported here on Friday.
The 13-youth Inayat had gone to the fields to keep a watch on the sugarcane and cauliflower harvest but when he did not return home till late in the evening, his family went out in search of him. They found the youth’s mutilated body in the sugarcane fields. The villagers claimed to have noticed the footprints of a tiger in the area.
Of late, there has been a spurt in tiger and leopard sightings in Katarniaghat forest reserve area and there is fear lurking in the villages lying in the vicinity of the forest reserve.
Last Monday, a tiger had reportedly attacked and killed a nine-year-old Mamta, who was playing outside her house.
