SHILLONG: A one-day state level workshop on POCSO Act, 2012 and Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 was organized by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) and State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) in Shillong on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, member of the NCPCR, Yashwant Jain said that people should be made aware about the basics of POCSO and Juvenile Justice Act.
Asserting that crime against children is on the rise, Jain said that efforts should be made for prevention of crime against children. The chairperson of SCPCR Chairperson, Meena Kharkongor besides representatives from different departments were also present on the occasion.
