Shillong: Pradip Kumar Deka lodged a complaint that on December 1 around 1.30 am, unidentified miscreants in two Maruti cars (number not known) assaulted Dipen Ch Nath (49) and Mani Kumar Pator (32), both Security Guards of M/s Hills Cement Co. Ltd., while they were returning home at Mynkre, NH-44 in East Jiantia Hills.
The miscreants also snatched away cash from them.
They also abducted Dipen Ch Nath in their vehicles, while Mani Kumar Pator managed to escape.
Later, acting on inputs, Police conducted a search in Umstain area under Lumshnong Police Station and rescued the injured abducted victim and shifted him to CHC Khliehriat, from where he was referred to higher medical centre for treatment.
