Competition
Shillong Assamese Ladies Welfare Club will organise Biya Nam (Marraige Song) competition on December 9 at 11 am at Assam Club , Laban.

Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong Nongmynsong will be conduct a locality cleaning drive on December 12 from 8 am onwards. All residents are are asked to participate in the cleaning drive. Land/house owners residing outside Nongmynsong are also informed to take part in the drive.

Venue changed
Due to unavoidable circumstances, the venue for one- week workshop on learning and reading of Assamese language will be held from December 9 to December 16. The venue of the workshop has been changed to Laban Assamese Girls’ HS School.

Winter beats
The office of the District Election Officer, East Khasi Hills, through SVEEP in collaboration with Recreation is hosting “Winter Beats 101” on December 16 at NEHU campus, Convocation Hall. The main objective of the event is to create general awareness on electoral participation and to enroll youths who have attained 18 years of age. It is expected to host around 4000 to 5000 youths which will be an excellent platform to spread the message of election.

Atta released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, Shillong informed that Whole-meal Atta (Tide Over) for all Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) families, Priority House Holds (PHH) and Non-NFSA in Urban and Rural areas for the month of November quota has been released and will be distributed through the Fair Price Shops at the scale of 10 kgs per card at the rate of Rs. 8/- per kg.
