College week
St Mary’s College will be celebrating its Annual College week from December 7 and the grand finale will be held on December 14 from 10:30 am onwards.
Teachers’ meeting
The Jaintia Hills Lower Primary School Teacher Association will hold a meeting of all Jaintia Hills LP school teachers at Fantin Hall, Khliehriat at 10 am sharp on Friday. All concerned teachers are requested to attend the meeting without fail.
General meeting
The Meghalaya Upper Primary School Teachers’ Association (MUPSTA) Mawphlang Block held its general meeting on December 2 at the Mawngap District Christian Multi –Purpose Hr Secondary School, at 11:40 am. The Block teachers also unanimously formed the Block Unit that would be known as the MUPSTA Mawphlang Block Unit and elected its first officials for the term 2017 – 2020.
Hindi workshop held
SHILLONG: A one day Hindi Workshop was held on Wednesday in office of the Principal Accountant General (Audit). A total of 15 members participated in the workshop where Asit Kamal, Hindi translator Grade – I, Directorate General Assam Rifles & Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Shillong, was invited as a faculty member.
Felicitation of students
KSU Mawryngkneng Circle will felicitate meritorious students with the VIII Wickliff Syiem Academic Award at Seven Hut Orchid Hotel, Mawryngkneng , on December 9. Essay Writing and Painting competition for Class V till Class X will be held on the same day.
Closing ceremony
The Mylliem Lum Sports association (MLSA) will hold the closing Ceremony of the 6th Mylliem Lum Football League Tournament 2017 on December 9 at 11 am at Madan Maweitnai ha kaba ka in which Umsaw SC will play against Mawkhar SC. Banteithymmai Nongrum Contestant Final Round of reality show, YES I AM, Mumbai and others will perform.
Chicken Wagon launch
The launching of The Chicken Wagon “Food Truck” will be held on Saturday at Zizira Office Premise, near Golf Club, Dog Squad Road, Golf link at 1-4pm.
