SHILLONG: The candidates for the Special Force-10 (SF-10), the armed and unarmed branches have once again appealed to the state government to declare the merit list before the model code of conduct comes into force.
Addressing reporters on Wednesday, Pynshngainlang Kharumnuid, representing the candidates, said physical and written tests were completed and personal interview was also done in June 2016.
“We don’t know what lies ahead as the results have been withheld for a long period of time,” he said and added that there are over 2,751 posts so far and over 3,000 candidates and the notice for recruitment was issued in February 2016.
All the candidates were worried about the delay for six months.
Kharumnuid referred to the last high court order of September 25 that stated that it was open for the state government to declare the merit list of candidates.
The candidates were waiting for the final hearing on November 27 that did not take place as the high court judge, Ved Prakash Vaish, was transferred.
“Even our lawyers say things are uncertain,” Kharumnuid said.
He added that the affected candidates are from all parts of the state.
