40 coal trucks seized

SHILLONG: Ri Bhoi police in a joint operation with Assam police on Saturday raided a coal depot suspected of buying coal in defiance of the orders of National Green Tribunal and causing loss of revenue to Meghalaya Government.
The coal depot was located at the Assam side in Byrnihat area. Around 40 coal trucks were seized while drivers and labourers managed to flee.
