EC team to hold election meet on Dec 13

SHILLONG: The Election Commission of India (ECI) team will visit Shillong on December 13 to discuss election preparedness.
The chief electoral officer, Frederick Kharkongor, said on Friday that the deputy election commissioner, an expenditure observer and three other officers will meet the SPs and DCs to take stock of the election preparedness.
The security related aspects will also be discussed during the meeting.
Kharkongor said that a separate meeting will be held with Chief Secretary Y Tsering and DGP SB Singh to ensure free and fair polls.
