Demand for 33% reservation for woman in Assembly

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress, president Joplyn Scott Shylla on Saturday submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma asking the latter to implement 33 percent reservation for woman in Assembly as well as in Parliament.
During the meeting, the chief minister strongly supported the idea and assured that he would talk about the matter in the ongoing winter session.
