Cleanest village competition held

SHILLONG: Dobu PHC in collaboration with Songsak Block in East Garo Hills recently promoted ‘clean and green’ campaign and awarded the cleanest village.
The winner of the cleanest village is Dobu Bolsaldam and runner-up was Nengkra Nengringgittim.
All the 45 villages under Dobu were informed about the campaign in January. Inspection started on November 17 and continued for two weeks.
The villages selected in the second round were jointly inspected by a medical team, staff from Songsak block and RKS members on December 2. Songsak BDO Ripamchi Sangma and in-charge of Dobu PHC R Napak gave away the prizes.
