SHILLONG: The city police are looking at the recent petrol bomb incident in Lumdiengjri from three angles.
Earlier, two petrol bombs were thrown at houses and a shop in Lumdiengjri. East Khasi Hills SP Davis Marak said they are looking at the angle of political rivalry since the area in the past had witnessed similar instances. The police are probing the rivalry among residents and are trying to find out if it was the handiwork of the KSU since the pressure group in newspapers have warned of retaliation for the arrest of their member in Ri Bhoi.
The incident has sent shockwaves across the city as it took place just four days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Shillong.
Meanwhile, Mohsin Raza has filed a police complaint about the incident.
