SHILLONG: Independent candidate Sezarul H Kharkongor will contest against Mahendraganj MLA Dikkanchi D Shira, wife of Chief Minister Mukul Sangma.
Kharkongor contested the previous elections from Tikrikilla constituency. However, for the Assembly elections 2018, he will contest from Mahendraganj in West Garo Hills. Besides Shira, other contestants whom Kharkongor will face are NPP’s Sanjay Sangma and UDP’s Nidhuram Hajong.
BJP is yet to name its candidate.
