Ri Bhoi village celebrates 50th anniversary

NONGPOH: The year-long golden jubilee celebrations of Khliehumtrew-Tdoh Umsiang, a village under Hima Mylliem Syiemship in Ri Bhoi, concluded on Friday.
The village was formed in the year 1965 and it has witnessed many positive changes over the last five decades. Ricky Nelson Syiem, the traditional chief of the Hima, appreciated the residents’ unity and asked them to keep it up for overall development.
Local MDC of Mawhati James Sylliang was also present at the function.
The Dorbar Shnong distributed prizes among winners of various competitions conducted throughout the year.
