Sonowal, Himanta hail mandate for Modi’s leadership

Guwahati, December 18:  Hailing the BJP’s victory in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the chief minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday said that election results of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh were yet another instance of people reposing faith on the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and an overwhelming acceptance of policies and programmes of the incumbent BJP-led union government.

Sonowal also thanked the people of both the states to side with development and change and voting the BJP to power.

Meanwhile, Assam finance, health, education etc., minister,  Dr Himanta Bishwa Sarma tweeted : “My compliments to people of Gujarat for resounding reposing your faith in the leadership of PM of India Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah. Gujarat has always been a trendsetter and with this victory you have again taken the right decision.”

In a statement made here, Sonowal said, “Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh results have proved that the people of the country are happy and feeling secured in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. This historic mandate reflects people’s trust in the vision of PM Narendra Modi, their belief in his mission towards a great and transformed India”, he added.

Sonowal further said that the Prime Minister instilled a sense of security among all sections of the people of our country and he ushered in a new mantra of equal development which becomes evident from people’s acceptability of his policies irrespective of caste, creed, community and religion. Sonowal also expressed confidence that under the leadership of Narendra Modi India would soon lead the world.

Sonowal congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP National President Amit Shah and the workers of the party right from grass root level to the upper strata of both the states for ensuring a comfortable victory of the Party.
