SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party will release its manifesto on January 11.
Informing this here on Monday, UDP working president, Paul Lyngdoh said the manifesto will be released at a massive public rally here.
In the rally, the party will also release its common minimum programme.
Though the venue has not been confirmed, the rally is likely to be held in Malki ground.
The party is also likely to announce at the rally the names of candidates from the remaining constituencies which have not been declared as of now.
The UDP which secured eight seats in the 2013 Assembly elections is hoping for a turnaround this time to bring the regional forces into power. The party has forged an alliance with the Hill State People’s Democratic Party in Khasi/Jaintia Hills and with the Garo National Council in Garo Hills.
