FIRs lodged against over loaded coal trucks

SHILLONG: Ri-Bhoi police on Saturday registered FIRs against overloaded coal trucks found plying in violation of National Green Tribunal (NGT)  guidelines and MV Act under Byrnihat  police station. The trucks were detected during a joint checking by magistrate and Ri Bhoi police. Further over 30 coal trucks were detected plying without challan in Umiam were turned back.
