SHILLONG: Thousands of villagers, including four headmen, from Muthlong Pyllun allegedly locked the principal’s room at Shangpung College at Thadmuthlong-A last Saturday in demand for changing the name of the institution, police said on Monday. The police said the residents were led by Anthony Lyngdoh, headman of Thadmuthlong-B, and Yoophi Lyngdoh, headman of Thadmuthlong-C.
