Accident
On Thursday morning four occupants of a vehicle received injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck at Pyllun village, Ri Bhoi.
On Wednesday morning, one Brensing Rynjah (48) sustained injuries after he accidentally fell down a cliff while working at a stone quarry at Mawjrong. He was later taken to NEIGRIHMS.
On Wendesday afternoon, one vehicle skidded off the road at Mylliem Kyndong and fell into a roadside drain. As a result, two occupants sustained injuries and were admitted to the Hospital.
Three persons sustained injury when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a truck at Saw Kilo, Bhoirymbong on Thursday. The injured persons who were identified were Buhroi Syiemiong (21) and Therina Mawlong (61) were shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC by 108 ambulance.

On Wednesday morning, the police detected four coal laden trucks wat Shillong By-pass, Umniam while they were illegally transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.
Theft
Deepali Dkhar lodged a complaint that on Wednesday evening, one person identified as Albert Lyngdoh stole her bag from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes. Police arrested the accused.
Harassment
Dr. Tapsri Sangma, M&HO, Resubelpara (NGH) lodged a complaint that on Tuesday morning one patient Nengman Sangma along with his friends Angam Sangma, Hosa Sangma and another one who claimed to be a Lawyer in an inebriated condition who came to the Emergency Room of the hospital for treatment harassed, abused, mocked her and also threatened her.
Threatened
On Tuesday morning, two IBN scribes Prasenjit Das and Abhijeet Das were threatened and their cell- phones and camera were snatched while they conducting a sting operation of alleged prostitution racket at Hotel Aashiyana here. Three persons Umesh Das, Sujit Hajong, Debesh Sangma nd Prabitra Mazumdar were arrested in this connection.
Assault
On Monday, Meshanbor Nongtdu assaulted his wife at their residence at Pohkseh causing injuries to her. The victim was admitted to hospital.
Apprehended
On Sunday afternoon, one Medahun Lamare was apprehended while he was selling ganja at Khliehriat West (EJH) and handed over to police.
Man killed
Terisa N Marak lodged a complaint that on the night of December 25, 2017, she received a phone call from an unknown person informing her that unknown miscreants assaulted her husband at Asil Dikagre (EGH), causing grievous injuries. Later the victim was shifted to Civil Hospital Williamnagar from where he was referred to a hospital at Goalpara and later to GMC, Guwahati where he succumbed to his injuries.
