Shillong: On January 15 around 4.30 pm, the body of a 48-year-old man with injury marks was found in a jungle in South Garo Hills.
The deceased man has been identified as Muthin D Shira, who was from Chambil Baniagre village under Sibbari in the district. The forested area where the body was found was near the village. Police suspect that Shira was murdered.
In another incident on January 10, an unidentified man was found lying at Demseiniong.
The person was declared brought dead by the medical officer on duty at Civil Hospital, Shillong. The man was later identified by his relatives as Kisar Kharmalki.
