Joshi to chair party election committee meet

SHILLONG: The AICC general secretary in-charge for Meghalaya, CP Joshi will chair the meeting of the election committee of the party on Tuesday.
Party sources said that he will arrive from Delhi on Monday evening. The meeting will finalise the names before the AICC gives its approval, sources added.
The election campaign committee of the Congress headed by Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh will also meet on Monday to discuss the poll strategy of the party. The party will decide on the star campaigners for the upcoming polls.
AICC president Rahul Gandhi is expected to campaign for the party candidates in Khasi Hills and Garo Hills.
