BJP poses danger to federal structure: Mukul

SHILLONG: Meghalaya chief minister and Congress leader Mukul Sangma has continued with his attack on the BJP accusing the saffron party of corrupting the whole political system of the country.

Talking to media persons here on   Wednesday, Sangma lamented that the saffron BJP across the country was engaging in strategies which is corrupting the political system even though they engage in rhetoric’s about their crusade against corruption.

Terming the activities of BJP as dangerous for the future of the country, Sangma said that every citizen must condemn it.

Chief Minister even accused the BJP of diluting and weakening the federal structure of the nation while maintaining that nowhere in the history, the  county has seen such an attitude from the Government of India.

“What these people are upto, and their step of diluting the   federal structure is one step for disastrous future of the nation ,” he told reporters after meeting AICC leader CP Joshi here on Thursday.

He  also said that the Union Government was trying to reach  the stakeholders directly even though there were guidelines for Central Government schemes.

“Have they changed the guidelines ?,” he said.

Meanwhile, Sangma said that he and the Congress party would now optimally divide the time and optimally use the  available time so that the Congress reached its target of winning 38 seats in the upcoming polls.
