Trucks detained
On January 23 around 12.30 am, one coal-laden truck (ML-05Q-8567) fled after evading the weighbridge at 13th Mile, Byrnihat. The truck was caught at Sonapur, Assam and has been detained.
On January 16 around 3 am, police detected two trucks (ML13-1532 & AS-18C-8087) transporting coal from Kabitabari via Tikrikilla (WGH) towards Mankachar, Assam in violation of an NGT order. Both trucks have been detained.
Threat
Punakon Shabong lodged a complaint that on January 22 around 2 pm, Andy Lyngwa under the influence of alcohol had trespassed onto her compound at Lower Lumparing, Shillong, hurled verbal abuses and threatened the complainant and her tenants with dire consequences.
Missing
Jupi Sunar lodged a complaint that on January 14 around 1pm, his 16-year-old daughter had gone missing from their residence in Nongrimbah, Laitumkhrah.
Theft
Jitendra Sharma lodged a complaint that on January 22 at around 10.15 pm, three unidentified miscreants entered the factory of Kakarania Innovative Systems Pvt. Ltd., at Byrnihat and stole one welding machine cables and holder, machinery spares and documents. The miscreants vandalised the CCTV and also threatened the security guard.
On the evening of January 22, unknown miscreants stole four tyres and alloy rims from a vehicle belonging to Sagar Thapa while it was parked inside the premises of Fisheries Department Quarter No. 20, at Fruit Garden, Shillong.
On January 21, unknown miscreants stole a Bolero (ML-05G-8456) belonging to Md. Reyaz Ali Sarkar which was parked near his house at Oxford Hills, Kench’s Trace, Shillong.
One Iaiminot Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on the night of January 14, his two bulls went missing from Wyrlang forest (WJH) near Myntang River where they were left for grazing.
However, on January 20, both the bulls were found from a butcher, Pura Sayoo at Mukhap village who said that he had bought the bulls from two identified persons.
