SHILLONG: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) youth leaders will kick-start the election campaign with a bike rally from Nongrim Hills around 7 am on Tuesday.
The rally, which is to highlight the agenda and principles of the party in the run-up to the polls on February 27, will be flagged off by the party’s chairman PN Syiem. The campaign will continue for four days.
Syiem told The Shillong Times, “They (the bikers) will reach every constituency where the party fields a candidate.”
On Day 1, the bikers will go to Nongthymmai-Pynthorumkhrah-Mawlai-Umroi-Mawhati-Umsning-Nongpoh-Jirang.
On the second day, they will take the routes of Mairang-Mawthadraishan–Rambrai-Mawthengkut-Nongstoin-Mawkyrwat. On the third day, the bikers will travel to the Ranikor-Mawsynram-Sohiong-Mawphlang-Pynursla route.

Henley Davis Kharshandi, who held the post of vice-president of Mawsynram Area Youth Congress (MAYC), joined the party on Monday.
President of Mawsynram PDF Youth Front Barrister Shangpliang said his joining the party will strengthen it.
Kharshandi said there are others who will support Syiem in the forthcoming elections.
“I can see that the Congress will lead nowhere due to the inefficiency of the leadership,” he said.
