SHILLONG: Resentment over the visit of AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi to St Edmunds has come to the fore following the enforcement of model code of conduct.
The interaction by Rahul with the women community of the institution on Wednesdays had irked some citizens as according to them, educational institution was used as a political platform. However, the CEO, FR Kharkongor said that there is no violation of Model Code of Conduct since St Edmuds College is a private institution and the party had taken appropriate permission from the concerned authorities.
