Theft
On February 9, Sabita Sharma lodged a complaint that her domestic help viz., Sabona Momin stole gold ornaments valued around Rs. 4 lakh from her house at Lumpyngngad, Shillong.
Skhemborlang Diengdoh lodged a complaint that on February 8, unknown miscreants stole twenty four battery cells and one Diesel Generator Battery valued around Rs 1 lakh from Umphyrnai village (EKH).
Shankar Chettri lodged a complaint that on February 8, he found that unknown miscreants broke into his residence at Madanrting, Block-C, Shillong and stole gold ornaments, one laptop valued around Rs. 1,10,000/- and ATM card.
On February 6 around 6.40 pm, three masked armed miscreants looted cash Rs. 70,000/- (approx) from M/s Kharnaior Service Station, Mawsynram (EKH) and one cell phone from the employee.
On February 6, unknown miscreants stole twenty-four cell batteries from Vodafone mobile tower at Jail Road.
Fraud
On February 9, Kartik Sena Sinha lodged a complaint that Sasad Jain of New Delhi cheated his (complainant) friends, viz., Nanawar Narishad and Dilip Kumar of Rs 10 lakh by offering them contract work at Tripura Castle, Cleve Colony. However, the accused did not give them any work and fled away.
Accident
On February 8 around 10 pm, a truck (number not known) fatally knocked down Wandi Khyriem (20 yrs) at Amsarin village (WJH). Matter is under enquiry.
On February 6, a tempo vehicle (A/F) driven by Monuwar Hussain (22 years) met with an accident at Chillipara (SWGH). As a result, six occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Ampati. Matter is under enquiry.
