SHILLONG: Several localities in the city are experiencing frequent power cuts for the last few days without any notice from MeECL.
Police Bazar, Rilbong, Laban and its adjoining areas are going without electricity for hours every day for the last couple of weeks.
SL Singhania, the president of Ward 9 in Police Bazar, criticised MeECL for its inefficiency and said if the erratic supply was due to weather conditions then the distribution company should have a contingency plan.
