SHILLONG: Toastmaster Club, an international non-profit organisation based in California, is making its way to Shillong for those interested in improving their communication, public speaking and leadership skills.
A training programme and guideline to set up Toastmaster in Shillong was held at Kayzey Academy for Professional Studies, KJP Assembly Conference Building on Saturday.
Engineering and IIM students and members of Kayzey Academy for Professional Studies; belonging to different social background and profession attended the programme disseminated by distinguished Toastmasters Ayan Pal and Ruddra Dev Roychoudhury.
The organisation with the motto ‘Where Leaders are Made’ has produced distinguished speakers and great leaders around the world.
The club, started in 1924 by Ralph C Smedly, has millions of members and thousands of units in 142 countries worldwide.
