SHILLONG: A BJP ticket aspirant from Rajabala, Mozammil Mondal, has resigned from the party and joined NPP.
The NPP has fielded Mizanur Rahman Kazi to contest the seat.
Other important candidates in the fray include Sofior Rahman(BJP) Independents Ashahel D Shira and Abdus Saleh and Azad Zaman (Congress).
BJP has fielded candidates only in 47 constituencies out of 60. However, there were many ticket aspirants from the party who wanted to contest the polls.
