JOWAI: BJP vice-president David Kharsati during an election campaign in Raliang on Monday came down heavily on NPP which, according to him had prepared a map to bifurcate 75 percent of West Khasi Hills to Greater Garoland.
He also showed a map in this regard to the people and said it was prepared by NPP MP and president Conrad Sangma.
‘If NPP comes to power, they will take away our land in West Khasi Hills and we will never allow such things to happen’, Kharsati said.
He further added that that if the BJP candidate Lakhon Biam wins from Raliang and if other BJP candidates also win, they will celebrate by eating beef continuously for a week.
Speaking to The Shillong Times, the BJP candidate said, ‘I left my post as the SDO, NEC, Khliehriat because I want to serve the people. My main issue includes all round development, special consideration for educated unemployed youth besides others’.
