SHILLONG: Just few days ahead of the Assembly polls, the Congress has fired another salvo at the BJP and the NPP as it has dared the NPP president, Conrad Sangma to keep his hand on the Holy Cross and give the people of Meghalaya four answers pertaining to NPP’s alliance with the BJP.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Randeep Singh Surjewala, in charge Communications in AICC, said dared Conrad Sangma to keep his hand on the Holy Cross and tell the people of Meghalaya if NPP was not funded by the BJP and RSS and If NPP is not a part of NEDA

“Will he not form the Government with BJP after election and can he dare to refuse the Prime Minister’s diktat of not observing December 25 as Christmas but observing the day as Good Governance Day,” he said

Terming NPP as the puppet party of BJP, he alleged that NPP and BJP were two sides of the same coin and that BJP-RSS was hiding behind the mask of the NPP before elections and post-election, they would unleash their fury of sinister design and divisive agenda.

“A vote for NPP is a vote for BJP in reality,” Surjewala told reporters while alleging that 11 churches   were vandalized in and around Delhi in the year 2014-15 by goons of Bajrang Dal and Bharat Sena even as he lamented that no arrest had been made by Delhi police which was under the direct watch of Union Home Minister, Rajnath Singh who came here and gave a speech about law and order.

Stating that Christian schools in Aligarh and other parts of UP were threatened from observing Christmas, he added that that for the first time in the history, Christmas carols were not sung in the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

“Every time BJP comes to power, instead of celebrating development, they celebrate division,” he told added.

Earlier, the senior AICC leader maintained that BJP had become the ‘Benefactor’, ‘Protector’ & ‘Promoter’ of the Corrupt and ‘Loot & Scoot’ has become the buzzword in Modi Government.

The AICC leader also launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister over the issue of ‘Bank Loot Scam’ saying a whopping Rs 21,306 crore loot of public money has unraveled as ‘Chowkidar’ Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has maintained a stoic silence.

First, Lalit Modi i.e. ‘Chhota Modi No.1 escaped India, then Vijay Mallya duped the banks of Rs 9000 Crore and escaped. Bank of Baroda lost Rs 6400 crore in the ‘Forex Scam’. Now, Nirav Modi (NiMo) i.e ‘Chhota Modi No. 2 and Mehul Choksi also escaped India! No wonder, ‘UDAAN’ is the buzzword of Modi Government, wherein every Caster can ‘Fleece and Fly’ – ‘unchecked and undetected’, “he said.

Surjewala also slammed the BJP over the Rafale Deal saying why are Prime Minister and Defence Minister hiding the ‘purchase price’ of the aircrafts.

“Is it correct that per aircraft pricing of Rafale as per UPA negotiation comes to US$ 80.95 million (Rs.526.1 crore) as against Modi government’s per aircraft negotiated price of US$ 241.66 million (Rs.1570.8 crore) as per current exchange rate? Who is responsible for ‘loss to exchequer,” he said.
