Babul Supriyo sings to woo voters

SHILLONG: Union Minister and BJP leader Babul Supriyo on Thursday evening sang a Bengali song of poet laureate Rabindranath Tagore at Jail Road to woo the voters to vote for the BJP.
Addressing a public meeting, he also sang the few lines of famous Bollywood song “Kaho Na Pyar Hai”.
Earlier, Supriyo slammed the State Government by saying the fish market located right at Jail Road does not have a roof and only steel beams were on the market even as he expressed his displeasure over the state of affairs of the place saying the meeting could have been organised at a better place.
The singer turned politician castigated the state government over developmental issues even as he added that the AICC president, Rahul Gandhi has hired a new social media team and he just repeats what his social media team says.

Supriyo also expressed confidence that Tripura will be the 20th BJP ruled state in the country.
Criticising the Congress for its various lapses, he said that Congress always disrupted the parliament by making noises.
Later, speaking to media persons, he said that Congress had indulged in scams in various parts of the region
“With our allies here, we will create ripples after so many years of misgovernance”, he said
Stating that the region has been neglected, the BJP leader said that it is important for every part of the country to get same nurturing by the Centre.
“The infrastructure facilities are bad here, but the BJP is committed to deliver better infrastructure facilities”, he said.
