HYC voices concern on edu policy in state

SHILLONG: The education cell of the Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) central executive committee expressed concern over the absence of a state education policy.
In a statement issued here, the education secretary of the HYC, Roy Kupar Synrem, said many students pass their examinations every year but remain unemployed and end up doing menial jobs.
The organisation also said parents cannot afford to buy textbooks after theMBoSE changed the textbooks. It urged MBoSE authorities to direct the publishers to make early arrangements for students.
