TURA/ SHILLONG: Portfolios of the new ministers will be announced in the next two days, said sources in the National People’s Party (NPP).
But speculation is rife about NPP legislator from Dadenggre James P. Sangma becoming the home minister. Chief Minister Conrad Sangma may hold dual portfolios of finance and tourism. While UDP president and senior MLA Donkupar Roy will be the new Speaker, the NPP sources indicated that the party legislator from Resubelpara, Timothy D Shira, is slated to take over as the deputy speaker of the House.
However, when contacted, some ministers said Conrad will have a one-on-one meeting with them before deciding on the portfolios.
