Stabbed person dies in hospital

SHILLONG: One of the persons who were attacked by an armed group in a village in West Garo Hills has succumbed to injuries.
In a complaint, Taleb Sarkar of Pathorkata village said around 2.30pm on February 22, Azizul Sheikh, Wajuddin Sheikh and eight others, armed with daggers and other lethal weapons, attacked his son Amir Hanja (19) and four others identified as Abul Hussain, Abu Kesru, Mokidul and Sole Bibi, causing grievous injuries to them.
The injured persons were shifted to Tikrikilla PHC and later referred to hospitals in Goalpara and Guwahati. Abul Hussain died in the hospital.
