DDSC North Garo Hills urges CM’s intervention in resolving issues

SHILLONG: The members of the District Development Steering Committee (DDSC) North Garo Hills met Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma and submitted a memorandum concerning the important and immediate needs of the people of North Garo Hills.

In the memo, the DDSC impressed upon Chief Minister to take important roads  including the construction of double lane road from Damra to Berubari (Bajengdoba) connecting railway      station at Mendipathar and district headquarter,  Resubelpara   besides speeding the improvement and the black topping of existing P W D road from Dekhachang (Resubelpara) to Rongrong and from Damebibra to Dingok (Bajengdoba)

The Committee also asked the Chief Minister to Upgrade Mendipathar deficit-grant college into a government college which can ensure quality education to the students besides speeding up the setting up of  the Jawaharlal Navodya Vidyalaya School (JNV)

The Committee also lamented that construction works of 100 bedded Civil Hospital at Chidaret and upgrading of primary health centre at Dainandubi, Bajengdoba, Karkhutta and Mendipathar  to  community health centre is not  functioning  till now.
