Minor drowns
On March 24 afternoon, one minor boy Sengwat Ch Marak (6) of Wa’gesik village, South Garo Hills reportedly drowned in the Simsang River at Balwakol under Baghmara Police Station. Necessary formalities have been observed and the body was handed over to the relatives.
Drugs, cash seized
On March 23 around 11.15 pm, drugs and cash were detected by NGOs from the possession of Rajen Rai (30), Dil Bahadur Chettri (40) and one seventeen-year-old boy at Sajer, Nongpoh in Ri Bhoi. They were later handed over to the police.
