Dry day
The Deputy Commissioners of West Jaintia Hills, East Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and North Garo Hills districts have declared Dry Day on Friday, on the account of Good Friday.
Mock drill
The Additional DC and the CEO of District Disaster Management Authority, East Khasi Hills, has informed that a mock drill will be conducted at Police Bazar at 10 am on Saturday. All line departments will participate in the drill, hereby, people are requested not to panic during the exercise.
Weather warning
The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning whereby a thunderstorm accompanied with squall on Thursday and Friday, and heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday is very likely at isolated places of the state.
