Betheguide, a motivational coaching centre, recently organised a programme focusing on the 4Ds of success — dream, decision, determination and destiny. — at NIIT Shillong. The centre will hold another event on substance abuse at Dainty Bud’s School, Bishnupur, on April 13.
Condolence
Members of Matri Mandir, Polo Ground, Shillong in a meeting held on Saturday condoled the demise of Dhyanada Charan Sharma, a primary promoter member of Matri Mandir since 1955. Members remembered his immense contribution towards Mandir’s development and paid glowing tributes to the departed soul. Two minutes silence was observed and prayers offered to Jagatjanani Bhabatarini for eternal peace of the departed soul.
World Autism Day
On the occasion of World Autism Awareness day on April 2, SAN-KER is organising a “Walk for Autism” on the said date at 10 am starting from Thangkhiew Petrol Pump, Mawlai Nongkwar and ending at Don Bosco Museum. The walk will be followed by a public discussion on autism at the Sacred Heart Theological College Hall. The participants at the discussion will include professionals in the field as well as caregivers of individuals living with autism.
Nazareth Hospital will be organising a training cum awareness programme on April 2 on the occasion of World Autism Day from 2pm to 3:30 pm at the hospital.The programme will be in the form of a live webcast from New Horizons Health and Research Foundation, Mumbai whereby live discussions by experts in the field of autism.The effort is being made possible with the help of Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Neurodevelopment Chapter and Nazareth Hospital.
Unclaimed body
The officer in charge, Ummulong police outpost has informed that one unclaimed body has been lying inside the morgue at Jowai District Hospital in Ialong since March 20. Even after 10 days no one has claimed the body. Police have once again requested the public to come forth and help identify the body.
