Byrsat ‘focused on work’, not hype

NONGSTOIN: Local legislator Macmillan Byrsat, who is also the chairman of the Meghalaya State Law Commission, said the job as the head of the commission was not a joke.
Addressing a gathering at a felicitation programme at Mawkawah, Byrsat’s native village, on Saturday, the MLA pledged to serve the people in the constituency as well as of the state.
He said more than gaining popularity he was focusing on serving people and achieving his targets.Byrsat said the government needs the public’s cooperation in bringing development to the area. The Byrsat clan and the Lyngdoh Nonglait clan, the Byrsat clan from Nongstoin, the Byrsat clan from Nongpyndeng and the NPP unit from Mawkawah honoured Byrsat.
