Govt college priority for Mayralborn

NONGPOH: Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem has pledged to fulfil the dream of former chief minister DD Lapang to set up Ri Bhoi Government College and a degree college at Umden.
He was addressing a gathering at a youth festival organised by the Marmain Area Youth Upliftment at Marmain village in Ri Bhoi.)The legislator added that he was keen to promote health sector in the district
The organisation also submitted a memorandum to Syiem to look into matters related to the higher secondary school, Marmain PHC and the internal road in the area.
Syiem assured them that he would take up the issue. Addressing the crowd, Syiem lauded the effort of MAYU in undertaking the responsibility to uplift the area on all fronts.
The event started with a 10-km marathon for men and 8km for women in the morning followed by other competitions and concluded with a live concert.
