CM cum MP lightens House

SHILLONG: While replying to the discussion on the Budget, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma referred to taking up several issues ‘when he was an MP’.
However, on a lighter note in the Assembly on Friday, Congress MLA HM Shangpliang told the chief minister not to refer as MP.
“You can stop saying when I was MP? You are the CM not an MP.”, Shangpliang said.
To this, Sangma replied, “I talked about issues that I raised as an MP in 2016 and 2017. But on a lighter note, I am still an MP,”
