Miscreants circulate fake results of interview for junior engineer posts

SHILLONG: Unidentified miscreants have published fake results for the interview conducted for the posts of Junior Engineer Civil Grade I in Veterinary (CEW), Water Resource Department and P.W.D. (R & B) in Government Offices under Engineering Department prompting the Meghalaya Public Service Commission to file a police complaint.

The fake results about the interview have gone viral in WhatsApp and even the signatures of the chairman and secretary of the Commission have been forged. The fake results show as many as 87 candidates as successful in the interview.

Secretary of the Commission, Wanrilin A M Booth said that everything and even the names in the results were fake and malicious

According to Booth, the Commission has not even prepared the results for the posts as of now.

She said that she had no idea as to who had done this but the matter needed be investigated thoroughly.

She also informed that she was filing an FIR with the police since the matter needed detailed investigation.
